Frameless wall cladding ZIPS Vector
Thickness: 53 mm
ΔRw ≈ 14 dB
When applied?
- When you need to get an acceptable result with a small thickness.
- Saves from noises of average volume - conversations, TV, barking dogs, crying children.
- The construction is recommended for gypsum, brick and concrete walls, partitions, as well as reinforced concrete floors.
Overview
ZIPS-Vector system is mounted without a frame directly onto the surface of walls and ceilings. Improves sound insulation by 12-14 dB Operating range of the system is from 125 Hz. Allows to eliminate sounds such as neighbors talking, dogs barking, sound from radio/TV, etc.
ZIPS Vector panels are attached to walls and ceiling slabs by special vibration joints that prevent transmission of noise from the insulated surface to the outside of the structure. The use of lightweight sound-absorbing and heavy sound-reflecting layers in the panels, as well as the absence of rigid connections in the form of framework, ensure efficient reduction of transmitted sound waves.

You can calculate the approximate estimate of sound insulation in your case. To do this, it is enough to enter the surface area that is supposed to be isolated. The estimate is calculated with a 5% margin, as well as taking into account rounding to whole packages. Please note that the estimate is approximate, since it does not take into account the individual characteristics of your premises.

ZIPS-Vector panels are attached to the wall only through the existing vibrating units using plastic dowels.
The ends of the sandwich panels must adjoin the side walls and the ceiling through two layers of Ultrakustik TAPE vibration insulating tape. The tape is glued and fixed with Ultrakustik VS.
If the panel is installed as a whole (without cutting) on an insulated wall, then installation is carried out using only six fastening points, the central fastening points are not used.
The head of the screw should be screwed into the vibration unit no deeper than 1-2 mm from the level of the front side of the panel.
If the panel is cut, then all available attachment points are used for installation. Cuttings less than 250 mm are not used in the installation.
Upon completion of installation, the joints between the sandwich panels are treated with Ultrakustik VS. The finishing layer of gypsum plasterboard sheets 12.5 mm thick is fixed to the resulting surface. Sheets must adjoin to the adjacent surfaces through 2 layers of Ultrakustik TAPE vibration insulating spacer as well.
Excessively protruding Ultrakustik TAPE is cut flush with the finishing layer of gypsum plasterboard sheets. Seams are filled with Ultrakustik VS vibroacoustic silicone sealant.
