Soundproofing floor with the use of Ultrakustik Floor Plast

Overview

The structures of soundproof floating floors are used in construction and renovation of buildings of any type and purpose for insulating floor from impact noise and providing additional reduction of airborne noise. It is necessary to take into account the change in the thickness of the soundproof layer when the workloads on the base change in the process of designing the structures of floating floors.

The construction consists of a layer of reinforced cement-sand screed with a thickness of at least 60 mm laid on the soundproofing material Ultrakustik Floor Plast. The leveling compound Ultrakustik Floor Plast is laid on the ceiling over the entire area of the floor of the protected premises and placed vertically on the wall to provide acoustic decoupling of the screed from the walls. The material is compacted using a polyurethane "half trowel". Allows you to level local unevenness of the floor and the remnants of construction waste up to 10 mm. As a separating layer, after the Ultrakustik Floor Plast mixture has dried, a reinforced film (PVC) is laid.

You can calculate the approximate estimate of sound insulation in your case. To do this, it is enough to enter the surface area that is supposed to be isolated. The estimate is calculated with a 5% margin, as well as taking into account rounding to whole packages. Please note that the estimate is approximate, since it does not take into account the individual characteristics of your premises.

  • Before installation of a coating with a standard thickness of 20 mm, remove construction debris with a fraction size of more than 10 mm from the surface of the floor slab.
  • The material is compacted to the required thickness using a polyurethane “floater”. Ultrakustik Floor Plast coating is applied to the floor either manually or mechanically.
  • Ultrakustik Floor Plast coating is placed on all adjacent walls and columns to a height slightly greater than the level of the leveling screed to prevent the formation of sound bridges during its arrangement.
  • To increase adhesion, the surfaces of walls and columns are pre-primed with Ultrakustik Floor Plast before applying coating.
  • A leveling screed with a thickness of at least 60 mm is laid directly on the Akufloor-Plast coating and must necessarily be reinforced with metal structures for increased mechanical strength.
